Burgos - Rabe de las Calzadas - San Anton - Boadilla Del Camino - Carrion - Sahagon - Releigos - Leon - Hospital del Orbigo - Astorga - Manjarin - Ponferrada - Villa Franca - O Cebreiro - Samos - Portomarin - Palas de Rei - Ribadiso - Arca

As you can see there has been little access to internet during over the last few weeks. Each of these cities, towns and villages has offered us treasures.

San Anton was a church in ruins and we stayed in part of it.... the Hospitalero was a chef from Germany and cooked us a delicious meal. The stars that night were so close you could touch them! A truly memorable night.

Leon has one of the most beautiful cathedrals I have seen in Spain. The stained glass windows were spectacular and the proportions of the cathedral were not too grand...you felt very comfortable there.

Manjarin was another very interesting experience....a town in ruins... with a building that was built by Tomas from Madrid about 10 years ago. the ambience was fantastic with Ave Maria and Brahms playing in background whilst we ate soup by candle light. no electricity or toilets there... a very natural experience! (complete with wild horses at night trying to run down one of the pilgrims!).

OCeibrero was at another of the highest altitudes... wonderful sunrises and sunsets. I had sent my sleeping bag home as it was taking up too much room...that night was remembering it fondly as it was nearly 0 degrees...slept in all my clothes ...was quite warm actually!

Samos is famous for the Benedictine Monastery... truly beautiful the church is similar to the main cathedral in Santiago. A very young monk said the evening prayers and we were blessed. a memorable experience.
